Cassie Gledhill's Track Update

My shoulder is much better, it will still take a while to build the strength back up but I am now back to full training. A few weeks ago I raced in Cottbus, Germany, at a European Sprint event. It was a great experience, I didn't get any significant results as I was still struggling with my shoulder but it was an improvement on Moscow and I hope to go back again soon.

Update from Moscow

I got back from Moscow yesterday and thought I'd send you a quick update!

Unfortunately even with all my efforts to speed up my recovery I was not able to perform or race properly. I did gain a lot from the experience though. I rode the track (although was unable to really get out of the saddle!) and got the feel of being at my first international event alongside Olympic and World champions.

Cassie Gledhill hospitalised after crash at Hillingdon GP

Cassie Gledhill has been hospitalised after a serious crash at the Women's Hillingdon Grand Prix. Cassie went down hard in the early stages of the race and although she was initially thought to have broken her collarbone and maybe even punctured a lung, she has since been x-rayed and diagnosed with a dislocated shoulder and cracked ribs.

Cassie is being kept in hospital for observation but is still hoping to make it to Moscow to compete on the track in two weeks time. We wish her all the best for a speedy recovery.

Andy Lyons third in Jock Wadley Road Race

The Jock Wadley Memorial RR is a special race to the team, with most of our riders living and training locally. Team captain Andy Lyons has been the victor twice before and this year he very nearly made it a hat trick of wins, finishing in third place in a start-studded field.
